Research progress of macrophage polarization regulation in urinary regeneration
Macrophages are highly heterogeneous and plastic immune cells that can be polarized under different stimuli. It plays an important biological role in maintaining the balance of the microenvironment in vivo.In the stage of repair and regeneration after tissue injury, macrophages switch from pro-inflammatory M1 to an anti-inflammatory M2.Therefore,regulating the polarization state of macrophages to promote tissue regeneration has become a hot issue in regenerative medicine. In the field of urology, researchers have adopted strategies such as the delivery of stimulants, immunomodulatory cells and genetic manipulation to achieve the regulation of macrophage polarization and observed its positive effects on the repair and regeneration of urological tissues and organs.
