Peer Education Model Promotes Timely Archiving of Electronic Medical Records by Clinical Physicians
Objectives To explore the impact of peer education models based on instant messaging platforms on promoting timely archiving of electronic medical records by clinical physicians,and provide guidance for improving the quality of electronic medical record archiving.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 50 clinical physicians from April 1st,2021 to December 31st,2022,which were divided into a traditional management group(n=25)and a peer education group(n=25)based on whether the peer education model was applied.And evaluated the application effect of peer education model by comparing the archiving status of 11523 electronic medical records of two groups of clinical physicians.Results After applying the peer education model based on instant messaging platform,the archiving awareness of clinical physicians had significantly improved.The 2-day archiving rate of electronic medical records was above 83.67%,and the 5-day archiving rate was above 96.89%.The archiving rate data was significantly improved and stable.2-day filing rate of electronic medical records in peer education group(χ2=107.816,P<0.001)and 5-day filing rate(χ2=665.404,P<0.001).Compared with the traditional group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions The application of peer education model based on instant messaging platform could enable clinical physicians to form a sense of timely archiving of electronic medical records,transform consciousness into action,and promote timely archiving of electronic medical records.
