Study On the Effect of Self-developed Disease Script Applied to PBL Internship for Thyroid Disease Teaching
Objectives To explore the effectiveness of applying the method of independently creating disease scripts in clinical thyroid disease PBL internships, and providing new teaching ideas for clinical internships. Methods 51 fourth year students from the 2019 5-year clinical medicine department who were selected to intern at a certain hospital were selected to independently create disease scripts before their PBL internship in thyroid diseases.47 fourth year students from the 2018 5-year clinical medicine department who are interning at a certain hospital were undergoing PBL internships for traditional thyroid diseases. After the internship, evaluated the effectiveness of theoretical exams and questionnaire surveys on students, and compared the theoretical exam scores and teaching satisfaction between the two groups. Results The satisfaction of the self-developed disease script teaching method in terms of data retrieval ability, clinical thinking ability, language expression ability, comprehensive analysis ability, and team collaboration ability was(16.18±2.45)points,(15.99±2.13)points,(17.08±1.93)points,and(16.63±2.01)points,respectively,higher than that of the control group,with(14.60±2.79)points,(13.57±2.77)points,(14.26±2.65)points,and(13.21±2.78)points,respectively,The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions In the PBL internship process of thyroid diseases, the application of self-developed disease scripts had advantages in cultivating ability to query data, clinical thinking, language expression, comprehensive analysis, and team collaboration. It could improve the internship effect of students and was worth further exploration and application.
