There are differences between the International Classification of Diseases ICD-10 and the actual clinical classification of pelvic organ prolapse, resulting in frequent errors in disease coding. This study analyzes the disease coding classification of POP by combining cases, summarizes coding ideas, and improves the accuracy of disease coding.Non-pregnant/delivery POP with a history of hysterectomy is coded as N99.3.Uterine prolapse is coded as N81.2-N81.4.Only anterior vaginal prolapse, posterior vaginal prolapse, and other unspecified conditions are coded under suborder N81.O-N81.1,N81.5-N81.6,and N81.8-N81.9 respectively.POP during pregnancy/delivery obstructive delivery is coded as O65.5.Uterine prolapse and vaginal prolapse without obstructive delivery are coded as O34.5 and O34.8.Coders should pay attention to the coding search steps, strengthen clinical knowledge learning, and use information technology to help improve coding quality to improve the accuracy of disease coding.
