Analysis and Changing Trends of Breast Malignant Tumors in a Tertiary Hospital in Beijing from 2013 to 2022
Objectives This study aims to understand the epidemiological characteristics of breast malignant tumors in a tertiary hospital in Beijing and predict the incidence trend of breast malignant tumors.Methods The clinical data of 1770 cases of breast malignant tumors who were first hospitalized in a tertiary A general hospital in Beijing in the 10 years from January 1,2013 to December 31,2022 were collected.The chi-square test statistical method was used to analyze and compare the incidence characteristics and dynamic changes of breast malignant tumors in the five years before and after,and to understand the distribution and occurrence patterns of breast malignant tumors.Results There were 459 cases of breast cancer in the first 5 years and 1311 cases in the next 5 years.The hospitalization cases of breast malignant tumors increased significantly in the next five years,with an increase of 185.62%compared with the first five years.The overall male-to-female ratio was 1∶159.9.The male-to-female ratio in the first 5 years was 1∶152,and the ratio in the next 5 years was 1∶162.There was no significant difference between the first 5 years and the next 5 years.The age of onset was mainly distributed in the age group of 40 to 60 years old,accounting for 71.24%of all cases.The average age in the first 5 years was 55.41±1.25 years old,and the average age in the next 5 years was 40.97±0.59 years old.The average age of the patients in the first 5 years and the last 5 years was statistically significant.The pathological types of breast malignant tumors were mainly invasive ductal carcinoma in the five years before and after 5 years,with 73.99%and 72.03%respectively.Comparing the composition of pathological types in the five years before and after,the difference was statistically significant.Conclusions The number of hospitalized cases of breast malignant tumors is increasing year by year,and the number of cases of breast malignant tumors increased significantly in the first 5 years.It was mainly invasive ductal carcinoma,which gradually increased and tended to be stable in the past 5 years.The age of onset was concentrated in people between 40 and 60 years old,and the majority were women.
