Analysis of Hospitalization Cost Structure and Influencing Factors for Patients with Acute Cerebral Infarction Based on Gray Correlation Method and Structural Change Degree
Objectives This study aims to analyze structural changes and influencing factors of hospitalization expenses for patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI)based on the gray correlation method and structural change degree,so as to provide a basis for saving medical expenses. Methods The hospitalization costs of 620 ACI patients in a certain area from January 1,2020 to December 31,2022 were analyzed based on the grey correlation method and the degree of structural change. The structural changes in hospitalization expenses of the research object in the three years and the correlation between each individual expense and the total expense were calculated.Multi-factor logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the influencing factors of hospitalization expenses of study subjects. Results The proportion of medicine, treatment, examination, laboratory and material expenses in the structure of inpatient expenses was 31.36%、20.81%、17.47%、8.38%and 8.29%,respectively,and the inpatient expenses were reduced, and the higher correlations between medication fees, treatment fees, and examination fees and the changes in hospitalization expenses of the study subjects were 1,0.821,and 0.801,respectively(P<0.05).All hospitalization expenses except material expenses showed negative changes and drug expenses had the highest contribution rate to the change in ACI hospitalization expense structure. In addition, the length of hospitalization, age, use of antibacterial drugs and accompanying diseases were all influencing factors of ACI hospitalization costs, and the OR values were 0.165,0.086,0.097,and 0.114 respectively. Conclusions Based on the gray correlation method and structural change analysis,it was found that drug expenses accounted for a relatively high proportion of hospitalization expenses, but their proportion decreased year by year, and the hospitalization expenses of ACI patients also showed a decreasing trend year by year. The length of hospitalization, age, use of antibacterial drugs, and accompanying diseases will all affect the patient's hospitalization costs. Therefore, hospitals should further pay attention to the use of drugs and medical consumables, actively implement the medical insurance system, further optimize the cost structure, and control the growth of hospitalization costs.
