Comparative Analysis of Inpatient Costs of Kidney Transplantation in a Tertiary Hospital in Hainan Province from 2019 to 2022
Objectives This study aims to explore the composition and influencing factors of inpatient expenses for kidney transplantation patients in Hainan Province by analyzing the inpatient expenses for kidney transplantation in sample hospitals from 2019 to 2022,so as to provide a reference basis for relevant departments and medical institutions to reasonably control medical expenses. Methods In this study,a total of 475 cases of kidney transplantation from January 1,2019 to December 31,2022 in the sample hospitals were selected as the study subjects.Hospitalizations were descriptively analyzed. The influencing factors of kidney transplantation hospitalization costs were analyzed by statistical methods such as the Kruskal-WallisH test,Mann-Whitney U test, and multiple linear regression analysis. Results The number of patients undergoing kidney transplantation in this hospital increased from 94 in 2019 to 144 in 2022,with an increase of 53.19%.In the composition of hospitalization expenses,Chinese and Western medicine charges accounted for the highest proportion, accounting for 36.55%,diagnostic charges accounted for 21.28%,and treatment charges accounted for 16.16%.The results of multiple linear regression showed that there was a linear relationship between the three indexes of hospital stay, complications, and discharge year and the total hospitalization cost(F=360.52,P<0.001,Rad=0.695),indicating that the model fitting effect was good. Conclusions Kidney transplantation is the best treatment for patients with end-stage renal disease. The structure of hospitalization costs for kidney transplant patients in Hainan Province is similar to that of other regions.Drug expenses account for a large proportion, and the total expenses are on a downward trend.Reducing the number of days of hospitalization and reducing the complication rate is conducive to the reasonable control of the total hospitalization cost of kidney transplant patients.
