Application and Design of Teaching Plan for Clinical Basic Operation Training Class Based on BOPPPS Teaching Model
Objectives This study aims to evaluate and discuss the application effect and significance of the basic clinical operation training classroom teaching plan based on the BOPPPS teaching model,so as to provide practical experience to improve the teaching effect of practical training courses.Methods The five-year clinical medical students of grade 2019 and grade 2020 from Air Force Military Medical University were selected as research objects and divided into a control group(149 students)and an experimental group(151 students).The control group received traditional practical teaching.For the students in the experimental group,practical training lesson plans were organized and compiled based on the BOPPPS teaching model and reviewed with experts.Implementation and feedback among students in the experimental group were received.Students'theoretical knowledge and comprehensive practical ability were evaluated through formative assessment and summative assessment,and students'evaluation of classroom teaching was collected through questionnaires to compare the application effects of lesson plans under two different teaching modes.Results Compared with the control group,the formative and final test scores of the experimental group were[(94.59±8.60)points]and[(92.19±2.10)points]respectively,which were significantly higher than those of the control group with statistical significance.The results of the questionnaire survey showed that the experimental group of students believed that the practical training course under the BOPPPS teaching mode had obvious advantages in improving learning interest,promoting team cooperation,deepening the concept of love and injury,exercising practical ability,and cultivating clinical thinking.Conclusions The teaching plan for practical training based on BOPPPS teaching model is helpful for teachers to carry out practical teaching according to curriculum objectives,optimize time arrangement and teaching implementation process,and has significant advantages in improving students'academic performance,hands-on ability,teamwork awareness,humanistic care quality and clinical thinking ability,which is worthy of further exploration and promotion.
