The Effect of CBL Combined with PBL on Clinical Practice Teaching in Dermatology
Objectives This study aims to explore the effect of Case-based learning(CBL)combined with problem-based learning(PBL)on clinical practice teaching in dermatology, aiming to further improve the clinical teaching effect. Methods A total of 80 clinical interns in the dermatology department from September 20,2021 to September 28,2022 were enrolled in this study. They were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 40 cases in each group. The traditional teaching method was used in the control group, and CBL combined with the PBL teaching method was used in the experimental group. The assessment scores, teaching results, etc.of the two groups of students were compared to evaluate the application effects of the two teaching methods. Results The theory test scores(44.54±1.44 vs.42.16±2.42),clinical case scores(47.12± 1.56 vs.41.96±1.48),and overall scores(91.44±2.10 vs.85.32±3.90)in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences.Compared with the control group, the experimental group was more likely to stimulate students'interest in learning, enhance their ability to study independently, improve doctor-patient communication, and cultivate clinical thinking ability. The teaching results in the experimental group and the control group were 86.95±5.58 and 80.62±5.37 respectively, with a significant statistical difference. Conclusions The combined application of CBL and PBL teaching method in clinical practice teaching in dermatology can not only promote students'thinking ability and comprehensive ability, but also improve the examination results and teaching results, which is worthy of application.
