Analysis on the Change of Disease Spectrum of Rural Elderly Discharged Patients in Military Hospitals
Objective To analyze the changes of disease spectrum of rural elderly discharged patients in military hospitals from 2015 to 2018,so as to understand the disease situation and their high incidence of diseases,and provide data support for the service provision,resource allocation and policy formulation of rural elderly health care and other related grass-roots health institutions.Methods The information data of 457972 rural elderly inpatients from Jan 1st 2015 to Dec 31st 2018 was extracted from the hospital information system of the whole army.According to the front page of medical records and ICD-10(international classification of diseases),descriptive research methods and Pareto charts were used to analyze the composition and changes of disease spectrum of rural elderly,and Chi-square test was used to compare the differences between different age groups and regions.Results 80.3%of rural elderly inpatients from 2015 to 2018 were mainly diagnosed as follows:circulatory diseases(23.39%),tumors(14.48%),digestive diseases(11.84%),factors affecting health status and contact with health-care institutions(10.84%),respiratory diseases(7.47%),injuries,poisonings and certain other consequences of external causes(6.4%)and diseases of the eye and appendages(5.9%),the spectrum of disease did not change much during the four years.There were significant differences in the spectrum of inpatient diseases in different age groups and different regions(P<0.05).Conclusions Circulatory system diseases,tumor,digestive system diseases,factors influencing health status and contact with health institutions,respiratory system diseases,injury poisoning and some other consequences of external causes and eye and accessory diseases were the focus of health care,disease prevention and treatment of rural elderly people,especially circulatory system diseases.
