Application of Scenario Simulation Training Based on PBL combined with CBL in Neurology Internship Teaching
Objectives By studying the effectiveness of scenario simulation teaching based on PBL and CBL in neurology internship teaching, the possibility of promoting this teaching method was further analyzed, and provided a reference for other clinical departments'internship teaching. Methods A total of 78 undergraduate anesthesia students who interned in the department of neurology at our hospital from August 10th,2022 to June 15th,2023 were randomly divided into control and research groups, with 39 students in each group. The two groups adopted traditional teaching mode and scenario simulation training based on PBL combined with CBL,respectively. After the internship, the comprehensive assessment scores and teaching satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results The scores of theoretical knowledge in the research group(82.41±5.03)had significantly improved compared to the control group(76.00±5.26)(P<0.05).The scores of practical skills in the research group(78.08±6.01)were higher than that in the control group(73.46±4.52)(P<0.05).Furthermore,the scores of teaching satisfaction in the research group(82.46±5.24)were higher than those in the control group(75.33±5.03),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions Scenario simulation teaching based on PBL and CBL cultivated students'practical and autonomous learning abilities through problem-solving,case learning, and practical simulation.Meanwhile, this teaching mode strengthened interaction and collaboration between teachers and students, and had great potential for application in neurology internship teaching.
