Application of MDT Model in Data Quality Management on the Front Page of Inpatient Medical Records
Objectives This study aims to use the MDT model to strengthen the management of inpatient medical record front page and promote the improvement of data quality on inpatient medical record front page. Methods The front pages of 878 inpatient medical records from a certain hospital from January 1,2022 to January 31,2022 were randomly selected as the control group. The front pages of 952 inpatient medical records from August 1,2022 to August 31,2022,which were managed in the MDT mode, were used as the research group. The"Quality Specification for Filling in Data on the First Page of Inpatient Medical Records(Provisional)"and the"Quality Management and Control Indicators for Data on the First Page of Inpatient Medical Records(2016 Edition)"were used as the quality control standards for the front page of inpatient medical records. The average score of the front page of inpatient medical records and the filling of defective items between the two groups were analyzed and compared. Results The average score of the front page of the inpatient medical records of the study group(96.66±4.05)was higher than that of the control group(95.4±3.57),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the implementation of MDT management, the filling error rates of irregular or incorrect main diagnosis, incorrect filling of other diagnoses, irregular or wrong selection of main surgeries/operations,filling of other surgeries/operations,etc.were all lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Moreover,the pathological diagnosis, admission condition, discharge method, admission route, patient basic information, outcome and other defects.on the front page of the hospitalization record were all lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Reasonably introducing the MDT model into the management of inpatient medical record front page can significantly improve the quality of inpatient medical record front page data.
