Application of Mind Mapping combined with PBL and CBL in Clinical Teaching of Otorhinolaryngology Department
Objectives To explore the application value for the methods of mind mapping combined with PBL and CBL in clinical teaching of otorhinolaryngology,and explore effective teaching methods to improve the quality of clinical education.Methods From August 1st,2022 to May 1st,2023,eighty medical undergraduates who practiced in a certain hospital were selected as subjects.Forty students were trained by LBL method as control,and forty students were trained by mind mapping combined with PBL and CBL method as experimental group.The training outcomes were evaluated by theoretical exams,clinical thinking exams and questionnaire survey.Results The scores of clinical thinking ability in the experim ental group.and the control group were(80.95±3.37)scores and(79.48±2.96)scores,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the questionnaire,the experim ental group.was higher than the control group in stimulating interest in independent learning,deepening understanding and memory of knowledge points,improving clinical thinking ability and satisfaction with clinical teaching form,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusions Mind mapping combined with PBL and CBL method was an effective method in clinical teaching,which could optimize the setting of clinical courses and improve the effectiveness of clinical internship teaching.
