Analysis on the Costs Structure Variation of Intracranial Aneurysm Inpatients in a Three A and Tertiary Hospital in Henan Province
Objectives To explore the structural variation of hospital costs for intracranial aneurysm patients in a Three A and Tertiary Hospital in Henan Province, and provide reference for government and hospital manager rational control of medical costs. Methods The hospitalization information of the patients was extracted from the front pages of the medical records, and the changes in the composition of hospitalization costs were analyzed by using the degree of structural change, the value of structural change and the contribution rate of structural change. Results The average annual growth rate of total medical costs for patients with intracranial aneurysm from 2013 to 2022 was-0.34%,and the average hospitalization expenses were 93984.98 yuan. The total structural variation of medical expenses was 18.41%.The contribution rates of drug cost(41.23%),consumables cost(23.79%)and diagnosis cost(14.88%)to the structural change of inpatient cost were the top three, and the cumulative contribution rate was 79.90%.Conclusions The burden of medical costs of hospitalized patients with intracranial aneurysm showed a decreasing trend. The medical costs were mainly consumable cost and drug cost, and the proportion of medical technical service cost should be increased. It was suggested to strengthen the publicity of disease prevention, especially in the elderly, improve the use of medical consumables and drugs, and effectively control the increase of medical costs.
