Analysis on the Hospitalization Expenses and Its Influencing Factors of 2952 Cases of Type 2 Diabetes Patients in a Tertiary Hospital in Shanghai
Objectives To explore the hospitalization expenses and influencing factors of Type 2 diabetes inpatients in a hospital in Shanghai,so as to provide reference for the effective control of discharge costs of diabetes patients.Methods The total expenses and composition of 2952 patients with diabetes discharged from the medical record system of a tertiary hospital in Shanghai from January 1st to December 31st,2022 were selected,and the influencing factors of hospitalization expenses were statistically analyzed by one-way anova and multiple stepwise regression analysis.Results The average hospitalization expenses of type Ⅱ diabetes patients were 12 206.12 yuan,and the proportion of drug expenses was the highest(56.50%).General medical service expenses was the second(43.33%);Western medicine expenses accounted for the highest per capita drug expenses,91.28%;Proprietary Chinese medicine took the second place,accounting for 8.34%.The main influencing factors of hospitalization expenses of diabetic patients were the number of complications,age,payment method and hospitalization days.Among them,the number of complications had the greatest impact on hospitalization expenses.Compared with discharged patients with one complication and more than three complications,the average hospitalization expenses of patients with more complications increased by 8322.23 yuan,and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusions The hospitalization expenses of discharged patients with diabetes were high,The hospital should actively formulate policies,reasonably and scientifically control the medical expenses.
