Application of PBL and CBL Combined Teaching Method Based on Wechat Platform in the Teaching of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department
Objectives To investigate the application effectiveness of the PBL combined with CBL teaching method based on the WeChat platform in the teaching of Gynecology and Obstetrics department,and improve and enhance teaching methods to improve teaching quality.Methods This study retrospectively reviewed 62 clinical medical students who completed their five-year medical education by interning at a Gynecology and Obstetrics department in a hospital from August 1st,2019 to July 31st,2020.The students were divided into two groups,A and B,based on their entry time.Group A used the traditional PBL combined with CBL teaching method,while Group B used the PBL combined with CBL teaching method based on the WeChat platform.The study analyzed the assessment scores and survey results,and conducted subjective and objective evaluations of the teaching effectiveness using SPSS 27 for statistical analysis.Results Group B had significantly higher scores in both theoretical and practical assessments compared to Group A.The theoretical assessment scores were 88.68±9.63 vs 82±7.74(P<0.05),and the practical assessment scores were 86.14±7.58 vs 80.12±7.73(P<0.05).Additionally,the satisfaction level in the survey was higher in Group B compared to Group A(97.1%vs 85.7%,P<0.05).Conclusions The PBL combined with CBL teaching method based on the WeChat platform could improve students'interest and enthusiasm in the teaching of gynecology and obstetrics department,and help cultivate their ability to analyze problems comprehensively,thereby enhancing teaching effectiveness.
