Analysis of the Application Effect of the Late Practical Teaching Model in the Teaching of the International Classification of Diseases
Objectives This study aims to explore the feasibility and application effect of the late practical teaching model in the teaching of International Classification of Diseases in order to improve the teaching quality. Methods 50 undergraduate students majoring in information technology and information management who have interned in the medical record room of a hospital for 6 months from January 1,2020 to December 31,2022 were selected and randomly divided into traditional teaching mode group and practical teaching mode group using comparative analysis method. The teaching effect of the two groups was compared by means of classroom observation, graduation examination and student satisfaction questionnaire. Results Classroom observations showed that the practical teaching model group had a higher level of classroom activity than the traditional teaching model group. The average score of students in the practical teaching model group was(86.6±7.45)points,and the average score of students in the traditional teaching model group was(67.92±8.16)points.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant. The questionnaire results showed that the student satisfaction in the practical teaching model group was higher than that in the traditional teaching model in five aspects, including self-learning ability and theoretical knowledge mastery. Conclusions The late practice teaching mode of medical record informatics has obvious advantages in improving students'learning enthusiasm, international disease and classification coding skills, medical record analysis ability and so on.This approach is worth popularizing and applying.
