Application of the Three-track Teaching Hybrid Model Based on PBL in the Clinical Teaching of Anorectal Department
Objectives This study aims to explore the application effect of the three-track teaching hybrid model based on PBL in the clinical teaching of anorectal department.Three-track teaching refers to the hybrid teaching mode of CTTM+MDT+surgical video.This approach provides more options for clinical teaching of anorectal medicine and further improve teaching quality.Methods A total of 80 undergraduate interns majoring in traditional Chinese medicine who were assigned to the anorectal department of a traditional Chinese medicine hospital from October 1,2021 to May 31,2023 were randomly divided into two groups,the control group(PBL teaching group)and the observation group(PBL+three-track teaching mixed mode teaching group).The assessment results and satisfaction evaluation of the two groups of students were compared after graduation.Results In terms of assessment scores,there was no significant difference between the observation group and the control group in medical history collection and medical record writing scores(27.45±1.08 points vs.27.68±1.58 points).However,the differences in theoretical scores(35.27±2.50 points vs.33.03±3.36 points),operational skills scores(26.57±1.85 points vs.23.80±2.39 points),and total scores(89.30±4.55 points vs.84.50±5.01 points)were significant.In terms of satisfaction,the observation group significantly improved students'autonomous learning ability,learning interest and innovative thinking ability,and improved their problem-solving ability,which was statistically significant compared with the control group.The scores of teaching content(17.45±1.20 points vs.16.38±1.46 points),teaching methods(26.23±1.56 points vs.26.23±1.56 points),teaching effect(26.98±1.42 points vs.25.15±1.72 points),and total teaching score(89.00±3.75 points vs.85.47±4.03 points)in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group,which was statistically significant.There was no significant difference in the scores of teaching attitude(18.35±1.25 points vs.18.68±1.10 points).Conclusions Compared with the simple PBL group,the application of the three-track teaching hybrid model based on PBL in the undergraduate internship teaching of anorectal department can significantly improve students'learning interest and increase the mastery rate of theoretical knowledge.It has obvious advantages in cultivating students'learning,communication and innovation abilities and improving teaching satisfaction.
