Exploration of the Application of Micro-Lecture Combined with BOPPPS Teaching Model in Evidence Based Retrieval Teaching
Objective To explore the application effect of micro-lecture combined with BOPPPS in evidence-based retrieval teaching. Methods Seventy first-year clinical undergraduate students in a medical university were selected from March 10th to December 1st,2023,and randomly divided into study group and control group. The study group adopted the teaching mode of micro-lecture combined with BOPPPS,while the control group adopted the traditional teaching mode.Questionnaires were distributed to collect the students'understanding of related concepts and evaluation of teaching effects after class.Through practice reports and online answers, the two groups of students'knowledge and skills were evaluated. Results The total score of the research group was significantly higher than that of the control group(80vs76),Z=-2.144,P=0.032);The research group had a significantly higher understanding of the five concepts of evidence-based medicine, evidence retrieval classification,meta-analysis,Cochrane system evaluation, and evidence-based level than the control group(P<0.05);The satisfaction evaluation of teaching effectiveness by the research group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions The micro-lecture combined with BOPPPS teaching model could help improve students'learning interest and enthusiasm, enhance their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, increase their understanding and application of evidence-based medicine concepts and retrieval knowledge and skills, and was suitable for promotion and application in the teaching of medical information retrieval.
