Application on"Integrated Application of Case-based Learning and Flipped Classroom"Teaching Mode in Clinical Practice of Rheumatology Department
Objective To investigate the new teaching mode"Integrated application of case-based learning and flipped classroom"in clinical practice in Rheumatology department.Methods Sixty physicians who were interns in the rheumatology and immunology department of a hospital from January 1st,2022 to December 31st,2023 were randomly divided into 30 experimental groups who accepted the new teaching mode and 30 control groups who participated in the traditional teaching mode.All subjects completed clinical assessment(theory assessment,case writing and clinical thinking assessment)and questionnaire independently.Results The medical record writing scores(91.6±3.1 VS.83.6±3.6,P=0.001)and clinical thinking scores(92.4±3.7 VS.84.9±2.7,P=0.001)of the experimental group were significantly better than those of the control group.The results of questionnaire survey showed that most of the trainee doctors believed that the new teaching mode can improve the learning initiative(95.0%),improve the learning efficiency(86.7%),and cultivate the spirit of cooperation(73.3%);The trainee doctors in the experimental group had high satisfaction with the new teaching mode(96.7%)and teaching content(96.7%).Conclusions The case teaching method combined with flipped classroom teaching mode could effectively improve the clinical comprehensive ability and learning interest of the trainee doctors and improve the quality of clinical teaching of rheumatology.
