Application of Scenario Simulation Teaching Method Combined with Virtual Reality Technology in the Teaching of Digestive System Diseases
Objectives This study aims to explore the teaching effect of a new teaching model combining scenario simulation with virtual reality technology to provide new methods for clinical teaching. Methods A total of 70 medical students majoring in internal medicine from September 6,2021 to November 26,2022 were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 35 students in each group. The observation group received a new teaching model combining scenario simulation with virtual reality technology, while the control group received traditional teaching.SPSS 26.0 was used to perform statistical analysis on the teaching effect and teaching satisfaction of the two groups. Results The scores of the observation group in theoretical knowledge assessment(85.34±3.41),clinical ability assessment(90.12±5.33)and doctor-patient communication ability(85.24±4.88)were higher than those of the control group(83.16±4.31,87.05±5.11 and 83.21±3.01),and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The observation group had higher satisfaction scores than the control group in terms of satisfaction with teaching methods(89.15±4.04),satisfaction with interactivity(85.33±4.18),learning enthusiasm(84.33±3.08)and mastery of knowledge points(84.66±5.20),and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were more students with excellent academic performance in the observation group. Conclusions In the clinical teaching of internal medicine, the new teaching model that combines scenario simulation with virtual reality technology has a stronger teaching effect than the traditional teaching model, and at the same time, student satisfaction is higher. It can be used as a priority choice in the clinical teaching system of the new era.
