A Retrospective Study of Medical Dispute Compensation Cases in a Three A and Tertiary Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital from 2019 to 2023
Objectives By analyzing the paid cases of medical disputes in a Three A and Tertiary Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in Beijing,we explored the causes and solution pathways of medical disputes,put forward suggestions for preventing medical disputes,and provide case references for reducing the incidence of medical disputes.Methods Seventy cases of medical dispute compensation cases in a hospital from January 1st,2019 to December 31st,2023 were retrospectively analyzed,and the number of cases,departmental distribution,causes,and ways of resolution were statistically analyzed.Results The overall trend of medical dispute compensation cases showed a decrease,generating the number of person-times year by year in the order of 16,16,16,10,12,with an average incidence rate of 0.342 per thousand;the highest incidence of medical disputes in surgical departments,accounting for 90.71%,non-surgical departments accounted for 5.00%of the medical disputes,and medical and technical departments had the lowest percentage of dispute person-times,accounting for 0.71%;the hospital-wide The obstetrics department had the highest rate of medical disputes,accounting for 65.00%;the highest percentage of medical disputes was caused by factors related to surgical operations,accounting for 62.86%.This was followed by medical disputes caused by technical defects accounting for 24.29%;they were resolved through civil litigation,accounting for 44.29%,and the people's mediation resolution route was the main one,accounting for 52.86%.Conclusions Surgery department obstetrics,surgical operation caused the most medical disputes,we should strengthen the whole process management of obstetrics,gynecology perioperative period,preoperative evaluation could not be mere formality,intraoperative evaluation should be cautious,postoperative observation should be really in place.And we should strengthen the professional training and operation management of doctors at all levels to improve the operation skills.
