Analysis on Changes in the Disease Spectrum of Hospitalized Patients in a Certain Hospital from 2018 to 2023
Objectives To analyze the changes in the disease spectrum of inpatients in a tertiary and first-class comprehensive hospital in the suburbs of Shanghai,and provide reference for hospitals to accurately grasp the direction of disciplinary development.Methods To collect and organize the homepage information of inpatients in a certain hospital from January 1st,2018 to December 31st,2023,classify diagnosis according to ICD-10 coding,and analyze changes in the disease spectrum of inpatients.Results A total of 253002 hospitalized patients were admitted;The ranking of the top 10 diseases in the disease spectrum had undergone significant changes in different years;Respiratory system diseases and pregnancy,childbirth,and postpartum period ranked first in the disease ranking of male and female hospitalized patients,respectively;Respiratory system diseases ranked first in the disease spectrum in the 0-20 year old group and the 80 year old and above group,pregnancy,childbirth,and postpartum period ranked first in the disease spectrum in the 21-35 year old group,digestive system diseases ranked first in the disease spectrum in the 36-65 year old group,and circulatory system diseases ranked first in the disease spectrum in the 66-80 year old group.Conclusions Diseases of the circulatory system,respiratory system,digestive system,pregnancy,delivery,and postpartum period required special attention.At the same time,based on characteristics such as gender,age,and the presence of emergencies,disease spectrum changes should be taken into account for disease prevention,and the allocation of health resources should be reasonably optimized.
