Analysis on Inpatient Hospitalization Expenses and Influencing Factors of Breast Cancer Patients in a Three A and Tertiary Hospital in Hainan Province from 2021 to 2023
Objectives To investigate the inpatient status of breast cancer patients in a Three A and Tertiary Hospital in Hainan Province and analyze the composition and influencing factors of the inpatient hospitalization expenses,so as to provide evidence for effectively controlling the inpatient hospitalization expenses and reducing the individual economic burden of patients.Methods The medical records of breast cancer patients from 2023 were extracted from the medical record front page system between January 1st and December 31st,202l for retrospective analysis,and the influencing factors of hospitalization expenses were analyzed by uni-variate analysis and multiple linear regression.Results The age period of 1107 inpatients mainly between 45 and 64 years old,accounting for 56.1%.The average length of hospitalization was 12.6l days.The per ca-pita cost was 25,896.88 yuan,and the proportion of individual out-of-pocket payment was 34.7%.The expenses of hospitalization were diagnosis(31.7%),medicine(26.7%),consumables(18.5%)and treatment(15.3%).Multiple linear regression analysis,F=54.882,P<0.001,adjusted R2=0.481,the factors affecting inpatient hospitalization expenses of breast cancer patients included different days of the admission condition,age,mode of discharge,admission condition,discharge effect,type of surgery and pathological type.Conclusions The hospitalization days and operation were the most important factors affecting the hospitalization expenses of breast cancer inpatients.We should strengthen health education of breast cancer to achieve early detection and treatment,and optimize the diagnosis and treatment plan,carry out daytime surgery,reduce the length of hospitalization,strengthen the collection of anti-cancer drugs,increase the reimbursement ratio of serious diseases,so as to effectively reduce the hospitalization expenses of patients.
