The Application of the Combination of Core Competencies of Clinical Pharmacists and Case Teaching Method in the Teaching of Hypoglycemic Drugs
The release of the core competency standards for clinical pharmacists in China has raised higher requirements for the abilities of clinical pharmacists.The use of case-based teaching,starting from actual cases,is beneficial for cultivating students'ability to independently analyze and solve problems.The combination of the two contributes to improving the quality of clinical pharmacist preceptorship.This article introduces a case of a type 2 diabetes patient,guided by the six indicators of core competency for clinical pharmacists.Initially,the teacher conducts lecture-style teaching to help students learn professional ethics and relevant theoretical knowledge.Subsequently,they move to the bedside for pharmaceutical consultation,following a process of"consultation-analysis-communication-education"and organizing thorough discussions.Finally,the teacher concludes the session.The integration of core competency and case-based teaching focuses on cultivating students'practical clinical work abilities with clear objectives.Interactive teaching methods are employed,making the learning process lively and engaging.This teaching model helps develop students'professional ethics,consolidate theoretical knowledge,enhance practical skills,and truly acquire comprehensive patient care abilities,serving as a reference for peer preceptorship.
