Effects of Different Treatments on Cutting of Camellia ptilophylla
It is difficult for Camellia ptilophylla to take root by traditional cutting techniques and the seedling rate is very low.To solve the cutting problem of Camellia ptilophylla, one resource planted in Shengzhou Base of Tea Re-search Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences was used as the material. Before cutting, the cuttings were soaked for one hour with two different rooting powder reagents and water(the control). At the same time, leaf pruning and film covering were also added. The results show that both formula B treatment and mulching film treat-ment could significantly improve the rooting rate and seedling rate.Meanwhile, mulching film treatment could greatly reduce the difficulty and time cost of cutting management. These methods provided a good reference for the cutting of other wild tea plants.
