Research Progress on Routine Methods for the Detection of Pesticide Residues in Tea
As a globally popular beverage, tea has attracted significant attention regarding pesticide residue issues, especially in the context of the growing global food safety awareness.Governments and related agencies around the world are continuously strengthening the supervision and detection of pesticide residues. The detection technology for pesticide residues in tea is an effective tool to ensure the safety of tea. This article outlined the common pesticides in tea plantations, introduced solid-phase extraction and QuEChERS,two common pretreatment techniques in tea pesticide residue analysis, and reviewed the application of routine methods such as gas chromatography,high-performance liquid chromatography, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry in the detection of pesticide residues in tea.It elaborated on the working principles, technical characteristics, and current applications of these methods, and provided a perspective on their future development, with the aim of providing references for future research on pesticide residue analysis in tea.
