Study on the Main Active Ingredients of 19 Wild Tea Trees in Southern Fujian
To further develop and utilize the wild tea tree resources in southern Fujian, traditional alcohol extraction method was used to extract total flavonoids from 19 wild tea trees in Quanzhou City. The changes in flavonoid con-tents and antioxidant activity of different wild tea trees were analyzed,as well as the component and content chang-es of catechins in different wild tea trees. The experimental results show that there was a significant difference in the total flavonoid content among 19 wild tea trees, with some wild tea trees showing significant differences. The to-tal flavonoid extracts of 19 wild tea trees had strong scavenging ability on DPPH free radicals, and 15 wild tea trees showed high scavenging ability on·OH free radicals. There were significant differences in the clearance rates of DPPH and·OH among some wild tea populations, and there were also great differences in clearance rates among different wild tea trees under the same growing environment.Among them,TK-2 has the strongest clearance ability for DPPH and·OH.The 19 wild tea trees had great differences in catechin composition and rich diversity, and none of them belonged to high EGCG germplasm resources. The tea quality of HL-1,ST-1,ST-3 and ST-5 is rela-tively good, and HL-1,HL-2,HL-3 and HL-4 can be used as high-quality raw materials for extraction of catechins. In conclusion, there were significant differences in flavonoid contents, catechin contents and antioxidant activity among the 19 wild tea trees distributed in southern Fujian Province, and they showed individual specificity, which could provide excellent materials for rational development and utilization and breeding of excellent cultivars.
