Animal diseases have caused great economic losses to the development of animal husbandry.Vaccination is an important tool in the fight against viral diseases,but its role is not always effective.The advantages of genetic selection over increasing levels of pre-vention and management are cumulative and affect all future generations of livestock.At present,the goal of breeding has changed from the initial production drive to the balanced breeding aiming at improving production,efficiency,health and functional traits at the same time.Genetic improvement of resilience is in line with the concept of balanced breeding.In this paper,the research progress of pig dis-ease resilience at home and abroad was reviewed,the application of artificial intelligence in resilience research was discussed,and the opportunities and challenges of current resilience research were analyzed,which provided some reference value for pig disease resis-tance work.
