Expression regulation of METTL3 and METTL14 genes in chicken spleen in Salmonella enteritidis infection
To investigate the effects of Salmonella enteritidis infection on the expression of METTL3 and METTL14 genes in spleen of chickens,40 2-day-old SE-negative F1 generation of of Guangxi Yao chicken(father plant)and Jining Bairi chickens(mother plant)were randomly divided into 2 groups. The treated group was inoculated with 0.3mL of Salmonella enteritidis solution, and the control group was inoculated with the same amount of PBS.Spleen samples were collected from the treated group and control group on the 1th and 7th day after inoculation for total RNA extraction.Real-time quantitative PCR(qRT-PCR)was used to detect the expression levels of METTL3 and METTL14 genes at different time points. The results showed that the expression of METTL3 and METTL14 in the treated group was greater than that in the control group on day 1 after infection(P<0.05).The expression of METTL 14 in the treated group was lower than that of the control group on day 7 after infection(P<0.05).In conclusion,Salmonella enterititis infection can cause differential expression ofMETTL3 and METTL14 genes in chicken spleen tissue.
