Effect of Different Methods of Oocyte Retrieval in Sheep
In order to optimize the oocyte collection method and improve the utilization rate of ovarian resources in sheep,this study studied the effects of oocyte collection personnel and oocyte collection tools(syringe,negative pressure pump)on the efficiency of oocyte recovery in slaughtered sheep ovaries.The results showed that:There were significant differences in the quantity and quality of oocytes retrieved by different personnel(P＜0.01).The quantity and quality of oocytes recovered in Kazakh sheep or Altay sheep were significantly lower than Hu sheep(P＜0.05).There were significant differences in the quantity and quality of oocytes recovered by different syringe needles(P＜0.01),and the 9 needle(veterinary use)had the best effect.The recovery effect of vacuum negative pressure pump on oocytes was significantly higher than that of syringe(P＜0.05).It can be concluded that oocyte collection by syringe requires a high level of proficiency of technicians.The oocyte recovery efficiency of vacuum negative pressure pump oocyte collection was significantly higher than that of syringe oocyte collection.
