Overview of dairy sheep industry in the world and development of new breeds in China
With the development of social economy,people's demand for milk products has gradually changed from quantity to qual-ity,forming a hot spot for sheep milk characteristic milk food consumption.However,the consumption of sheep milk in our country is almost entirely dependent on imports.In this paper,we reviewed the general situation of the world dairy sheep industry,the nutri-tional value of sheep milk,the research progress of germplasm and genomic selection of dairy sheep,further summarized the progress of breeding of dairy sheep in China.Finally,we analyzed the difficulties of China's dairy sheep industry and put forward development suggestions,so as to provide reference for dairy sheep breeding.
