Current Situation and Trends of Sheep and Goat Breeding in China
The seed industry is a landmark and leading project in the construction of modern agriculture.It is a national strategic and fundamental core industry.The breeding situation and achievements of sheep and goat was analyzed in this paper.By comparing the production performance of new cultivated sheep and goat breeds,the challenges of sheep and goat breeding were found.It was suggested that deepening research on germplasm resources,developing advantageous enterprises,enhancing the international competitiveness of China's sheep and goat industry,and increasing intellectual property protection to enhance the international competitiveness of sheep and goat industry in China.
