Prevention and Control Measures for African Swine Fever in Large-scale Pig Farms
On August 3,2018,China discovered its first case of African swine fever.Due to the lack of effective drugs and pre-ventable vaccines,African swine fever has brought unprecedented disasters to China's pig farming industry in just a few years,seri-ously hindering its development.Disease prevention and control have become the key to the sustainable development of the indus-try.This article conducts a risk analysis on some phenomena in the prevention and control of African swine fever in current large-scale pig farms.By identifying and eliminating the source of infection,cutting off the transmission route,reducing the occur-rence of susceptible animals,implementing strict closed breeding,implementing strict entry and exit systems,and adopting a full entry and exit breeding method for fattening pigs,we aim to improve the biological safety defense line of pigs,establish a solid ani-mal immunity defense line,strengthen personnel's prevention and control technology training,and enhance employees'sense of re sponsibility Corresponding prevention and control measures are proposed in terms of prevention awareness,providing reference for the prevention and control of large-scale pig farming.
