To clarify the development status of the dairy goat industry,based on the patent literature and guided by data thinking,this paper conducts a qualitative and quantitative visual analysis of the application type,application volume,applicant,and inventor composition of the current patent literature in the field of dairy goats around the world with the help of the Patyee retrieval and anal-ysis platform.It conducts keyword word cloud and text clustering analysis on the patent in combination with the International Patent Classification Number.It identifies the technical topics and innovation of patents in the field of dairy goats.The results showed that since 2016,the research and development of dairy goat technology patents had been in a period of rapid development,the level of patented technology had been continuously improved,and invention patents were the mainstay.Northwest A&F University ranks first in the number of patent applications,and was the main dairy goat technology research institution;the key technologies of the dairy goat industry mainly focused on the development of feed and feed additives,the study of genetic diversity,and the cultivation of new breeds.
