Comparative of Growth Performance and Meat Production Performance of Kazak Sheep and its Different Hybrid Combinations
In this experiment, four Dorperrams, four Suffolk rams, four Kazakh rams, and 180 Kazakh ewes were selected for binary hybridization and pure breeding.Kazakh ewes were randomly divided into three groups with three replicates in each group and 20 replicates in each group. The experimental group I was Suffolk sheep(father)x Kazakh sheep(mother)(Saha F1),the experimental group Ⅱ was Dorper sheep(father)x Kazakh sheep(mother)(Duha F1),and the Kazakh sheep pure breeding group was the control group(Haha F1).The growth performance and slaughter performance of the pure offspring of Duha F1,Saha F1,and Kazakh sheep at 6 months of age were determined. The results showed that there was no significant difference in birth weight between the Saha F1 generation and Duha F1 generation(P>0.05),but it was significantly greater than that of the Haha F1 generation(P<0.01).The body weight at 4,6 months of age and daily gain at 6-month-old of Sakha F1 and Duha F1 were significantly greater than those of Haha F1(P<0.01).The pre-slaughter live weight, carcass weight, net meat weight, slaughter rate and net meat rate of Duha F1 and Saha F1 mutton sheep were significantly greater than those of Haha Fl mutton sheep(P<0.01).The pre-slaughter live weight, carcass weight, net meat weight, slaughter rate and net meat rate of Duha F1 mutton sheep were significantly greater than those of Saha F1 mutton sheep(P<0.05).Under the condition of only considering feed cost and medical cost, the income of Sakha F1 and Duha F1 in the experimental group was higher than that of Haha F1,and the average income of Duha F1 in the experimental group was the highest, which was 368.79 yuan, followed by Sakha F1.It can be seen that the production performance and slaughter performance of Duha hybrid F1 lambs are higher, and the hybrid advantage is obvious.
