Semen Quality Analysis of Four Local Pig in Guangxi
In order to understand the quality of fresh semen and frozen semen of the Guangxi Dongshan pig,Debao pig,Longlin pig,and Guizhonghua pig,this experiment focused on the feeding and management of four local pigs,adjusted and collected semen,and measured and analyzed the amount of semen collected,the total number of fresh sperm,the vitality of fresh sperm,the vitality after dilution,the vitality after freezing and thawing(the vitality after freezing)and other indicators.The results showed that the highest qualified rate of frozen semen after thawing was 97.49％in Longlin pigs,and the lowest was 64.02％in Guizhong pigs.The highest proportion of successful sperm collection was Guizhonghua pig,which was 91％,and the lowest was Dongshan pig,which was 40％.The average semen collection of the Debao pig was significantly higher than that of the other three local pig breeds(P＜0.01).The average sperm motility of Dongshan pig,Debao pig,and Longlin pig was significantly higher than that of Guizhonghua pig(P＜0.01).The average total sperm count of the Longlin pig was significantly higher than that of the other three local pig breeds(P＜0.01).The average pre-freezing and post-thawing activity of the Dongshan pig,Longlin pig,and Debao pig were significantly higher than those of the Guizhonghua pig(P＜0.01).The average motility of frozen semen in Dongshan pigs was significantly higher than that in Debao pigs(P＜0.01),and the average number of forward-moving sperm in Longlin pigs was significantly higher than that in Dongshan pigs(P＜0.05).The average deformity rate of Debao pigs was significantly higher than that of Guizhonghua pigs and Longlin pigs(P＜0.01).The average colony number of the Longlin pig and Guizhonghua pig was significantly higher than that of the Debao pig(P＜0.01),and the average colony number of the Dongshan pig was considerably higher than that of the Debao pig(P＜0.01).It can be seen that the semen quality and freezing tolerance of four different local pigs are different.Among them,the fresh semen quality and freezing tolerance of Longlin pigs are better and suitable for cryopreservation.The fresh semen quality and freezing tolerance of Guizhonghua pigs are poor,and it is necessary to further explore suitable cryopreservation methods.
