Investigation and Analysis of Local Pig Germplasm Resources in Guangxi
Guangxi local pigs have unique genetic characteristics such as high fecundity,strong adaptability,heat and roughage tolerance,disease resistance,thin skin and fine bones,and delicious meat.To understand the current situation of Guangxi local pig germplasm resources,this paper carried out a scientific investigation to find out the general situation of Guangxi local pig germplasm resources and analyzed and evaluated the current situation of Guangxi local pig germplasm resources.It is pointed out that there are some problems in Guangxi's local pig germplasm resources,such as insufficient conservation efforts,weak conservation resource management and protection measures,environmental pollution and disease threat,and low market development,and put forward targeted improvement measures.At the same time,the ways to protect germplasm resources were put forward:breeding representative high-quality breeding pigs,selecting appropriate local pig conservation techniques,carrying out collection and utilization of germplasm resources,and selecting appropriate conservation strategies.
