Comparative Analysis of Growth,Development and Blood Physicochemical Indexes between Simmental Cattle and Huaxi Cattle
In this test,12 Simmental cattle,10 Simmental cattle breeding bulls, and 6 Huaxi cattle were selected, totaling 28. The growth and development data such as body height, cruciate height, body oblique length, chest circumference, and body weight of breeding bulls at birth,weaning,6 months,12 months,18 months,24 months, and 36 months, and 25 blood routine indicators such as adult cattle white blood cells (count),lymphocyte ratio, and intermediate cell ratio were measured. The results showed that the weight of Huaxi cattle at 6 months was significantly higher than that of Simmental cattle (P<0.05),but the weight of Huaxi cattle at 18 months was significantly lower than that of Simmental cattle (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in body height and cruciate height between Huaxi cattle and Simmental cattle at different growth stages (P>0.05). Simmental cattle were significantly higher than Huaxi cattle at birth (P<0.05). The chest circumference of Simmental cattle at birth,weaning,12 months,18 months, and 24 months was significantly higher than that of Huaxi cattle (P<0.05). The average hemoglobin concentration of red blood cells in Simmental cattle was lower than that in West China cattle breeds (P=0.49),and there was no significant difference between the two in other indicators (P>0.05). It can be seen that there are differences in some growth and development traits between different breeds, and there are significant differences in blood routine indicators between males and females within breeds.
