The First Working Meeting of the First Editorial Committee of'The Chinese Livestock and Poultry Breeding'was held in Beijing
On October 24,2024,the first working meeting of the first editorial board of'the Chinese Livestock and Poultry Breeding'was held in Beijing,and 44 editorial board members from all over the country participated.The editorial board members at the meeting fully affirmed the work achievements of the editorial department in the past two years,especially the number of the public journal WeChat.The editorial board members agreed it had become an important information release platform for the livestock and poultry industry.Given how to run the journal well,the participating editorial board members actively offered suggestions:First,clarify the positioning of the journal.Many editorial board members have first-line scientific research backgrounds,and it is more favorable to go to academic journals.Accelerating entry into the core journal catalog should be positioned as a short-term develop-ment goal.The second is to run high-quality characteristic journals.Give full play to the role of the editorial board,continue to strengthen the publication of special issues,give full play to the advantages of the title,open up special columns that fit the title,and run quality and characteristics.Third,make good use of new media to enhance the influence of journals.Through the WeChat pub-lic number to reprint top articles,strengthen video number and website publicity and other ways to innovate publicity methods,strengthen the construction of journal communication and influence.This meeting pointed out the direction for the development of the journal,enhanced the cohesion of the editorial team,and laid a solid foundation for the follow-up development of the journal,which is of great significance in the process of journal construction.
