Application of Transcriptome Sequencing Technology in the Study of Yak Characteristics
With the continuous development of omics technology, transcriptome sequencing technology has been widely applied in various studies, and has also been applied in the study of yak characteristics. This paper reviews the progress of domestic and inter-national research onreproductive traits of yaks, plateau adaptation and other characteristics using transcriptome sequencing technol-ogy in recent years. Many key genes and signaling pathways related to characteristics have been discovered, such as Gfra1,CD9,Fas,caspase3,which are mainly involved in spermatogonial differentiation, spermatogenesis, cell apoptosis, and other processes re-lated to yak hybrid male infertility.Genes ARNT,NFA TC2,A TP7A,DIAPH1,which are related to yak high-altitude adaptation, are mainly involved in long-chain fatty acid metabolism and protein processing, low oxygen regulation, fatty acid oxidation, and lipid breakdown metabolism. These studies provide research ideas and theoretical basis for further development and utilization of yaks.
