Research on the Differences in Production and Reproductive Performance between B-line and D-line of Grandparent Broiler Breeder
This article collects relevant production data on the front line of ancestral broiler breeding in a certain chicken farm, summarizes and analyzes the differences in production and reproductive performance between the B and D broiler breeding. The results showed that in terms of laying performance,B-line broiler breeding hens started laying 3 weeks later than D-line,and B-line broiler breeding hens weighed 820 g heavier than D-line when they started laying. The average egg laying rate of B-line broiler breeding hens from 28 to 58 weeks was 46.0%,with an average egg laying of 104 per hen, while the average egg laying rate of D-line broiler breeding hens from 25 to 66 weeks was 70.4%,with an average egg laying of 207 per hen.In terms of mortality rate, the mortality rate of B-line broiler breeding hens during egg laying was 0.65 percentage points greater than that of D-line broiler hens;In terms of reproductive performance, the qualified egg rate of B-line broiler breeding hens was 5.27%lower than that of D-line.The number of fertilized eggs in B-line broiler breeding hens was 87,significantly less than 185 eggs laid by D-line.The fertilization rate of B-line broiler breeding hens was about 1.7 percentage points lighter than that of D-line,and the healthy chick rate of different hens was similar. The number of chicks provided by B-line broiler breeding hens was 80,significantly lower than 172 chicks provided by D-line.Conclusion:The comprehensive reproductive ability of B-line broiler breeding hens was about half of that of D-line broiler breeding hens.
