Practice and reflections on the construction of computing power for the digital twin Yellow River
Rational planning of the Yellow River Conservancy Commission's computing power resource layout and optimization of computing power resource design can provide green, efficient, secure, and flexible computing support for the construction of the digital twin Yellow River. This paper reviews the construction history of the Commission's computing power resources, analyzes the current status of computing resources and supporting facilities, and identifies issues in areas such as multi-computing power integration, service capabilities of computing resources, and support systems.Based on the computing power requirements for the digital twin Yellow River, the paper proposes a construction approach of"integrating existing resources, coordinating ongoing projects, and standardizing new constructions".The overall design adopts a"cloud-edge collaboration"layout strategy characterized by"super-centralized central computing power,super-distributed edge computing power, diversified computing cores, and integrated multi-source and multi-entity computing power supply".It suggests enhancing computing capabilities in basic computing,high-performance computing, and artificial intelligence computing. The paper also recommends achieving unified management of heterogeneous resources and refined permission management through a computing power resource management platform, and strengthening the support system in areas such as green data center environments, disaster recovery backups, and regional computing resource construction. These insights aim to provide a reference for the planning and construction of computing power resources for the Yellow River and other river basins.
