Impact of Livelihood Capital on Farmers'Willingness to Withdraw from Rural Residential Land:From the Dual Perspectives of Level and Structure
The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of livelihood capital on farmers'willingness to withdraw from rural residential land(WRL)from the dual perspectives of level and structure based on the 1839 data from the China Land Economic Survey. The entropy method and logistic model are used. The research results show that 1)farmers'willingness to WRL is affected by the level and structure of livelihood capital.2)In the level analysis, the increase of total livelihood capital can promote farmers to WRL,and the sub-dimensional level of physical capital and social capital can promote farmers to WRL.3)In the structural analysis, the superiority of human capital, natural capital, physical capital and social capital can promote farmers to WRL.4)The effect of livelihood capital on part-time farmers'willingness to WRL is more significant compared to pure farmers and non-farmers.Compared with more developed and less developed regions, the effect of livelihood capital on farmers'willingness to WRL in less developed regions is more significant. In conclusion, the rational allocation of farmers'livelihood capital should be achieved by upgrading the level of livelihood capital and optimizing its structure, thus improving the efficiency of rural residential land use, with full consideration of farmers'differences and regional differences.
