The purposes of this study are to analyze the cases of rural elderly people's rural residential land replacement,to clarify the behavioral logic and practical effects of the participating subjects, and to provide theoretical basis and reference for the solutions to rural elderly care and land use optimization,by using"the three circles theory"as an analytical framework. The research methods include"the three circles theory"and case analysis. The research results show that through the analysis along the dimensions of"value, capability and support,"the rural elderly rural residential land replacement mode aligns with the logic of government performance value realization, the functioning of village committees, and the enhancement of elderly retirement welfare. Each subject achieves their respective"value"effectiveness in the advancement of the mode.Simultaneously, the government, village committees and retired elderly people engage in mutual influencing interactive behaviors during the mode's implementation. They embed mechanisms of interest linkage, administrative authority-driven mechanisms, and strong social relationship-driven mechanisms in the interactive process, collectively promoting the implementation of rural residential land replacement mode.In conclusion, the rural elderly rural residential land replacement mode aligns with the interests and realization logic of multiple stakeholders. It represents a beneficial exploration for jointly addressing the issues of inefficient rural residential land use and the aging rural populations. The study suggests the continuous attention to the needs of rural elderly and strengthening the three elements of interest realization for participating subjects through policy supply and resource input, which ensures the sustainable advancement of the mode and promote rural elderly care and land use optimization.
