Research on Trade-offs and Synergy Relationship of Land Use Functions and the Driving Factors:A Case Study in Wuhan
The purposes of this study are to reveal the trade-offs and synergy relationship among agricultural production,non-agricultural production, living and ecological land use functions(LUFs)in Wuhan in 2021,to explore the differences in the impact of driving factors under different dominant function settings, and to provide references for promoting the optimal utilization and spatial refinement management of local land resources. The research methods include geospatial analysis, pearson correlation coefficient and Bayesian Network model. The results indicate that:1)LUFs of Wuhan exhibits significant spatial differentiation.Areas with higher values for agricultural production function are mainly concentrated in the northern and southern regions of Wuhan.Non-agricultural production and living functions generally show a"higher value in the central urban area, lower value in the suburbs"pattern. While the distribution of low and high values of ecological function is closely associated with land use types, such as construction land and forests.2)In the study area, there is a synergy relationship between non-agricultural production and living functions(r=0.84).Agricultural production is in a trade-off relationship with non-agricultural production(r=-0.25)and living(r=-0.25)functions.Ecological function is in a trade-off relationship with non-agricultural production(r=-0.36)and living(r=-0.4)functions.However,there is no apparent mutual relationship between ecological and agricultural production functions(r=-0.027).3)The key driving factors of the differentiated development of LUFs include human activity intensity, distance from the central urban, land use intensity and surface runoff.Additionally, the status changes of these factors vary under different dominant function settings. In conclusion,Wuhan should pay attention to the balanced development of non-agricultural production and living functions in the different areas. To ameliorate the trade-offs relationship between LUFs,ecological livable construction in built-up areas and balanced urban-rural development should be adopted. Moreover, differentiated control strategies should be formulated based on the main functions of different regions.
