Spatial Identification of Industrial Land Reduction under"Ecology-efficiency"Constraints:A Case Study of the Yangtze River Economic Belt in Jiangsu Province
The purposes of this study are to identify inefficient industrial land from the dual perspectives of ecological protection and land use efficiency and to explore the pathways for its withdrawal and transformation,to provide new insights for the reduction governance of industrial land. The research methods involve the paradigm of"ecological source identification—ecological corridor extraction"to construct a regional ecological security framework and integrate habitat isolation assessment with the evaluation of inefficient industrial land, which develops a four-quadrant model for the classification and management of industrial land and facilitates the comprehensive determination of industrial land reduction areas along the Yangtze River Economic Belt in Jiangsu Province. The research results show that:1)there are 52 ecological sources along the Yangtze River Economic Belt in Jiangsu Province, which are scattered and exhibit a spatial pattern of"more in the south of the Yangtze River than in the north,"with a total area of 3 007.65 km2.Additionally,there are 134 ecological corridors with a total length of 2 934.78 km,showing a distribution pattern of"more in the southwest than in the northeast."2)Significant conflicts between industrial land layout and ecological land are observed in Wuxi,Suzhou,Nanjing and Changzhou.3)The total area of industrial land that urgently requires withdrawal is 82.10 km2,primarily concentrated in Qixia District and Jiangning District of Nanjing,Huishan District of Wuxi,Yixing City of Changzhou,Rudong County of Nantong and Jingkou District of Zhenjiang. In conclusion, the dual-constraint evaluation method of"ecology-efficiency"can integrate ecological protection constraints and land use efficiency improvement demands, effectively identify inefficient industrial land areas, and provide a scientific basis for promoting industrial land reduction.
