The Evolution Characteristics and Impact Mechanisms of Construction Land Supply Scale in China from the Perspective of Main Functional Zones
The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristics and driving factors of state-owned construction land supply under the strategic orientation of the main functional areas. The research methods include spatiotemporal evolution analysis and panel data analysis model. The results indicate that:1) the scale of the incremental and the existing land supply per city decreases in the order of optimized development zones, key development zones, agricultural production oriented zones, and key ecological function zones. 2) The service industry and social management industry are the two industries that obtain the greatest land supply. The proportions of land supply in the construction and manufacturing, mining and energy supply industries exhibit downward trends, while the proportion of land supply in other industries is steadily increasing. 3) The main functional area strategy significantly affects the scale of urban land supply. The influencing mechanisms of land supply scale and industrial land supply structure in different cities are heterogeneous. The fixed assets investment and the ratio of output value of secondary and tertiary industries play a strong role in promoting land supply in two types of urbanized areas, while population size and built-up area play a strong role in promoting land supply in two types of restricted development zones. In conclusion, the land supply policy of the main functional zones in China has demonstrated the preliminary policy effects, and the land supply has shown remarkable effects in promoting industrial structure transformation and upgrading. However, the scale of the incremental and the existing land supply in some areas needs to be further controlled.
