Study on Function Reconstruction of the Extant Urban Construction Land Redevelopment Based on the Principle of Species Competition
The purpose of this study is to innovate planning and decision-making techniques for function reconstruction of the extant urban construction land redevelopment based on the principle of species competition by taking Dongguan City as the empirical area, which involves selecting the dominant functions and optimizing function combinations for the redeveloped extant construction land. The research methods include the ecological niche comparative advantage model, triple ecological niche competition mechanism and linear programming model. The research results show that:1)the mixed layout of industrial and residential land in village and town industrial parks has led to approximately half of the extant construction land having balanced advantages in economic and social functions.2)After reconstruction, the dominant function of the extant construction land is economic-social,showing a pattern of transitioning from mixed to single functions from the center to the edges of each area.3)After optimizing the function combinations of the extant construction land, the ecological function space has been significantly expanded, exhibiting a distribution pattern along the river's periphery. It concludes that Dongguan urgently needs to improve the public supporting facilities in its industrial parks and strengthen the construction of the Dongjiang ecological corridor. The city should focus on three aspects to guide the matching of the extant construction land with reconstruction functions,i.e.,enhancing planning, categorization restructuring, and implementing full-process supervision,to promote the quality improvement and efficiency enhancement of land use in urban space.
