Impact of Agricultural New Quality Productivity on Ecological Efficiency of Cultivated Land Use:A Case Study of the Yangtze River Economic Belt
The purpose of this study is to explore the influencing mechanism of agricultural new quality productivity on ecological efficiency of cultivated land use,to provide theoretical support for the empowerment of agricultural new quality productivity in the cultivated land protection and utilization. The research methods include entropy value,Super-SBM model and two-way fixed effects model. The results indicate that:1)the level of agricultural new quality productivity in the Yangtze River Economic Belt showed a steady upward trend, and the spatial heterogeneity manifested as"lower reaches>middle reaches>upper reaches"and"major grain-consuming areas>major grain-producing areas>grain producing-and-consuming balancing areas".2)The ecological efficiency of cultivated land use increased from 0.641 9 in 2010 to 0.928 0 in 2022.The spatial difference showed"lower reaches>upper reaches>middle reaches",and the major grain-consuming areas were higher than the other areas.3)Agricultural new quality productivity significantly contributed to ecological efficiency of cultivated land use, showing regional heterogeneity. The effect was more significant in the middle and lower reaches than in the upper reaches, and the major grain-producing areas were more significant than that in the grain producing-and-consuming balancing areas. However, the impact of major grain-consuming areas did not pass the significance test.4)The impact mechanism of agricultural new quality productivity on ecological efficiency of cultivated land use mainly originated from the output effect, while the cost reduction effect and the environmental effect have not yet taken effect. In conclusion, the theoretical and practical innovation of agricultural new quality productivity should be accelerated to promote high-quality development,to systematically improve the productive effects of cultivated land protection and utilization, and to synergistically optimize the spatial layout of agricultural new quality productivity and cultivated land resources in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
